Making up for lost time....

Well I have been a slacker...actually I have just been enjoying my time with the kids. I started writing a lot for the blog on my blackberry but just never posted them because I had to update them with photos....so here goes....There are a lot! So enjoy!

sharing the blankie

The other morning I came out of my room and this is how I found Beckam, covered up with a pink blankie. Payton told me that, "he not want his blankie, he want mine" I am shocked that she shared her blankie... so cute!

Happy Birthday Timmy!

It seems strange to think that Tim and I have been together for half of his life. He is a WONDERFUL husband and a fabulous Daddy! I am so thankful for all that he does for me and the kids. I have learned so much from him and continue to every day! I am grateful to have him by my side. Thanks babe for all that you do for me and for the kids! we love you!!

Well we headed to Vegas for Timmy's birthday! He ended up with Monday off so he decided to also take Friday off and we left Thursday night....late! As we were getting ready to leave the news said that they shut down I-15 at the Beaver exit. Well he was bound and determined to go...I on the other hand was very apprehensive. We compromised and decided that if it was too bad that we would stop and get a hotel room somewhere. Well we didn't have to...yes it was a bit icky sometimes, especially before Scipio, yikes! It was like driving on an ice rink. But we made it to St. George that night. Luckily my parents have a home there so we stayed there for the night. We woke up early and headed to Vegas. We had a good time just hanging out at Tim's parents house. It was a lot of fun to see Tom and Tara's girls and Chase. This was our first time meeting him. We also celebrated Tim's birthday with a little PF Chang's and Cheesecake Factory for dessert. Then Tim's mom made him a roast dinner on his birthday....We had a lot of fun :-) On the way home we left Vegas at about 1:00 PM stopped in St. George for about an hour and then headed home and Beckam slept the entire time!! Then when we got home we fed him a bottle and he went back to bed until the next morning...WOW!!

loving my 2 year old!

Here have been the many adventures of Payton lately...

On a Saturday morning Tim and I were still in bed. Payton came in and saw us and then walked out into the living room. She saw some Cinnamon hearts on the table and came back in our room and told us she wanted a nummy. We told her after she ate breakfast that she could have one. Well I guess that didn't work for her so she climbed up onto the chair and got herself a nummy. She came back in our room with a Cinnamon heart :-) We told he no more nummies until after she ate breakfast. Well she ran back out and grabbed another one. When Tim came out this is what he found. Hey you got to give her credit for not wanting to waste time opening the package each time. This made it much more convenient!!

Beckam was crying in our bedroom one night and Payton said, "I get him, I get him" all of the sudden stopped. Tim was on the computer and I think I was on the phone. So I ran in there and this is what I saw...

Isn't she so cute! She had a bunch of his toys next to him and had the bottle in his mouth. Such a good mommy!

This is Payton eating lunch one day, but before she sat in her chair her babies had to eat lunch with her. So she pulled them up to the table.

In the morning Payton will come into my room and then get in Beckam's face and say, "good morning Beckam" It is the CUTEST thing ever!

Beckam is absolutely in love with her sister. Anytime she is around he will sit and watch her and smile. He was in the swing watching her and she went on the other side of him and siad, "Beckam, I'm right here silly"

We were on our way home and typically if Payton wants something we will tell her that we are almost home and will get it for her then. Well on our way home tonight Beckam was crying and she told Beckam, "ok Beckam we're almost home hun" So CUTE!!

The other morning I was changing Beckam's diaper and I came out to this....
Yes she had managed to get herself an apple out of the fridge...

While we were in Vegas last week Payton was playing and she said, "Mom, what have I told you?" She said this to me over and over. Yes this comes from us when we have to remind her to stay out of something. Tim or I will say " Payton, What have we told you, you can't get into things"...well she definitley hears us....

We were getting ready to leave Vegas and I said, "Paytie where is your baby" A few seconds later she cam out from under the table holding her baby and saying, "da da da daaaaaaaa!"

When I will say "Da da da daaaaaa" to her she will tell me, "no say da da da daaaaaaa"

she came out of her playroom and told me she found Marty from move it, move it (Madagascar)....she came out with this...If you have seen the movie then you will understand why she had a hippo (Gloria), giraffe (Melman) lion (Alex) and the zebra (Marty) I thought this was pretty amazing to see that she had pulled those 4 animals from her playskool zoo. I think there are about 26 animals in there...I was impressed...and take note that Marty and Alex are talking to eachother.

prayers

Every night before Payton goes to bed we say prayers as a family and we have her say them. She does really well. She has been saying them for some time and I love it!! It is probably my favorite time of day. Typically it goes something like this..."Father in Heaven, thank you for this day. Bless mommy, bless daddy, bless my Beckam, bless Paytie...bless mermaid, bless cars, bless my kitchen, bless move it, move it (Madagascar), bless Tinkerbell, bless Panda, bless my sippy cup, bless my blankie, bless my baby....this typically continues on for quite some time. But I love every minute of it. She is such a sweet girl!

relax dad

The other day I was driving and Tim was being a backseat driver. He kept telling me what to do and how to do it. So my cute little Payton in the backseat said, "relax dad" I busted up laughing and so did Tim. She has quite the personality!

poor Paytie!

Once again we have been battling Payton's throat. I had to take her in at the beginning of January and then again on January 26th. This is the 5th time since September. She has high fevers (up to 104 to 105) for about 5 days and lives off of Motrin and Tylenol. It makes me so sad...so finally the pediatrician referred me to and Ear, Nose and Throat doctor up at Primary's. We headed up there and after looking at her they decided the best option was to take out her tonsils. I have had 3 doctors tell me that it is the worst case of strep throat that they have seen...that can't be good. So on March 12th my little angel goes in to have her tonsils out. I am freaking out a little bit :-(

On a bit lighter note...the doctor asked her if she wanted a sticker and Payton said, "no thank you" The doctor was a bit shocked and laughed. He told me that he has never had a 2 year old turn him down for a sticker and definitely not so polite.
